FlatMile is a pre-launch waitlist. This page describes exactly what this website collects, why, and how to get rid of it. It is short because we collect very little.

Who is responsible

FlatMile is operated by Reklit BV ([[ registered address — fill in before publishing ]]). For anything on this page, email hello@flatmile.com. Under the GDPR, Reklit BV is the data controller.

What we collect when you join the waitlist

  • Your email address — so we can tell you when early access opens.
  • Your answer to “would you pay $69.99/yr?” — yes or no. This is the question the whole waitlist exists to answer.
  • Which page you signed up from, and the date and time.
  • Your browser’s user-agent string and country, the latter derived by Cloudflare from your IP address. We do not store your IP address itself.

The legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.

What we check, and do not keep

When you submit the form we look up whether your email domain can receive mail, using Cloudflare’s public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver. Only the domain is sent — never the full address. The result is used once, to reject typos, and is not stored.

Analytics

We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union (eu.i.posthog.com), to count page views and to see how far people get through the signup form. PostHog sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address. We do not create a profile for you unless you submit the form. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not use this data to follow you across other sites.

Fonts

This site loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. Doing so sends your IP address to Google. We are moving these to our own server to remove that request.

Where your data is stored

Waitlist entries are stored in Cloudflare Workers KV. Cloudflare and PostHog are our only processors. We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone else, and we will not send you anything except FlatMile launch news.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries are kept until FlatMile launches and you have had the chance to take up the founding price, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first. If the product is cancelled, we delete the whole list and tell you we have.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. One email to hello@flatmile.com is enough — no account, no form, no retention offer. We will act within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK and you think we have handled your data badly, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.

The app itself

When FlatMile ships, your drives are recorded and stored on your phone. There is no account to create and the app does not upload your trip history to us. This page will be updated with the app’s own privacy terms before launch.

Changes

If this page changes materially, we will email everyone on the waitlist rather than quietly editing it.
